How to Spend Half a Day in Limerick, Ireland.
"From the Castle I headed to the Milk Market which is open during the day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. These markets are a real hub of the city and hold a lot of history seen as it was one of the markets that were opened in the mid to late 1800’s. These days the market is full of fresh, local produce more than likely direct from the producer. I loved the buzz of the market and it was great to see local day-to-day life in action!"

15 Best Things to Do in Limerick (Ireland
"One of Ireland’s finest farmers’ markets, the Milk Market is a dream for people who care about where their food comes from. The complex was refurbished in the 90s, and sits under a large canopy or “big top” which has become a stage for live music. The big market day is Saturday, when you can buy produce and delicacies from the people who rear, catch, grow or make them."

Top 5 Coffee Shops You Must Visit in Limerick
"Discovered this particular place on my way to a rugby game on, again, another Sunday morning. Located in a really cool all-glass circular building that I’m pretty sure used to be the tourism center, Chez Le Fab is a combination vintage clothing coffee shop, the first I personally have ever stumbled across!. So it’s super easy to grab a coffee and do some browsing through the pretty clothing, or admire some of the displayed jewelry made by local artists for sale."

Where to Eat Vegan and Vegetarian Food in Limerick, Ireland
"It can be difficult for vegetarians (and more so, vegans) to eat in pubs. Tending to lean heavily towards dishes like carveries and ‘meat and two veg’ options, most Irish watering holes will provide the odd option nodding at vegetarian patrons, but you might be stuck with something limited, like salad, or pasta. That might not be such a problem elsewhere, but in Ireland, pubs are essential travel stop-offs."

Must-Visit Attractions in Limerick, Ireland
"Not an overly impressive sight in its own right, Limerick’s Treaty Stone symbolises an agreement that ended the Williamite War. The truce didn’t last for long, and the events that led to it still echo on. It’s not an overly impressive relic in its own right, but it has fantastic views, a plaque explaining the history (which dates back to 1691) and offers a real sense of stepping back in time."

The Most Beautiful Buildings in Limerick, Ireland
"An old structure on Limerick’s riverside originally designed to do exactly what it sounds like it should (collect tolls), what makes The Toll House unique is the faux defensive structure attached to the otherwise normal (and tiny) building to give it a sense of grandeur. The house, on the end of a line of terraced structures on the river, and close to the castle, dates back to the 1840s and isn’t open to the public. However, the oddity of its placement and contrast with the surrounding neighbourhood make it well worth a stroll down the Shannon regardless."

Must-Visit Attractions in Limerick, Ireland
"An 1840s riverside structure that looks like a castle, the Toll House is a faux defensive structure and was designed simply to collect a payment from those travelling into the city on the river. It’s just a building, but one quirky and well located enough to be worth the stroll down the banks of the Shannon for a visit."
